I am writing to recommend Shmuli Evers with a great deal of enthusiasm. I worked closely with Shmuli at Charidy, and from early on it was clear he was someone special. I brought him onto the team and showed him the product, and within weeks he was already helping the rest of us look at things differently. That kind of impact, that early, is something you rarely see.
Shmuli has a way of making things better without making a big deal about it. Our dashboard redesign is a good example. It could have been a straightforward update, but Shmuli turned it into something that genuinely moved the product forward. People across the company took notice, and pretty soon other teams were asking to have him in their meetings. Marketing, product, others. They wanted his input because he was adding real value, and everyone could see it.
He also has a real talent for bringing people together. We spoke every week and were in constant contact, and I watched him take the time to talk to stakeholders all over the organization so he could understand the full picture. He kicked off an internal intranet project entirely on his own initiative, a centralized space for our communications and resources. No one told him to do it. He saw something missing, put together a case for it, got the green light, and started building. That says a lot about who he is and how he thinks.
What makes Shmuli stand out is that he combines real creative ability with genuine warmth. He cares about the work and he cares about the people around him. He wants everyone pulling in the same direction, and he has a way of making that actually happen. That quality is harder to find than most people realize.
I was surprised and honestly a bit disappointed when I heard he was leaving. Whoever brings him on next is getting someone who will show up, get things done, and make the people around him better. I give him my full recommendation and would be glad to speak with anyone who wants to know more.
